This is an existing 11 storey office block formally utilised by the Metropolitan Police and has been vacant for a number of years. The design brief is to totally strip out existing services, add a floor and renew all services throughout to suit a new contemporary architecturally designed office space. This included boosted mains cold water, full mechanical ventilation and a four pipe cooling coil installation utilising centrally located chillers.
Lead discipline for the full scheme and detailed design of the mechanical installations for the HAL Sub Fire Station at London Heathrow Airport. This included a fully mechanical heat recovery ventilation system that was filtered to ensure clean air for the occupants at all times. It also involved moving Concorde - so the project went at supersonic speed!
A multi-use community facility for the provision of 2 Form Entry Primary School, Day Nursery, Children Centre and relocation of youth club. Construction over three phases to ensure continued use of existing facilities upon the site. The whole building was modelled using TAS environmental software to ensure the building achieved low emission rates by natural means. This building incorporated a number of green features including windcatchers and heat recovery.
TCR Consultants have been commissioned to undertake the full mechanical, electrical and public health services for this delightful brand new residential property with an estimated build cost of 25 million. This will be utilising the latest technology available to take advantage of high thermal values to incorporate a seamless services design that is functional and low running cost whilst unobtrusive as to not detract from the stunning design luxury dwelling.
TCR Consultants carried out a full mechanical and electrical technical design for a repurposed and totally refurbished Victorian building within the heart of Winchester. This included a full lighting, power, heating, domestic services and public health design along with statutory services upgrades and external lighting. Within the design, plant efficiencies were upgraded and all services were futureproofed for the simple installation of air source heat pumps in the future, all within a listed historically significant listed building.

In line with our clients strict decarbonization program TCR took advantage of the highly insulated SIPs construction and incorporated air source heat pumps, together with individual MVHR units for the classrooms and warm air heat recovery for the office space, providing ultra-low running costs and longevity.
